Posted by MrLuke on 16th May 2007 in Blogging | prints, online, gallery, links
Yes that's right, a selection of good quailty photos are now availble to buy as prints in various sizes and also with the option to frame them or have them printed on canvas! For people in the UK, check out the UK gallery here: http://www.photoboxgallery.com/mrlukeAnd for those in the US, check out this gallery instead: http://mrluke.imagekind.com/showcase(the US gallery will be updated to have the same selection of photos as the UK one soon!)The reason for the two different ones is purely for post and packaging costs, otherwise there would be really high P+P costs to get prints shipped from the US to UK and vice ve...

...e) for an online short story competition - and came in first place! In 2007 I wrote another for another competition called Message in a Bottle which came in 2nd place. In 2009 I wrote another story, called 'Love, Ire and Alcohol'... and as I write this I'm seeing a pattern emerge of when I seem to write! Especially as the latest story (called 'Obsession') I am currently half-way through writing is being written in 2011!Of course, all of these will be available on Amazon Kindle store. 'The Three', and 'Message in a Bottle' (the coming next story) have and are being re-edited and re-written in places as they were ori...

Posted by Luke Wilson on 30th October 2015 in Technology | seasonal, christmas, snow, winter
...It's getting to that time of the year again (or should I say, it's been that time of the year since September!). "Why would I want some nifty weather effects" I hear you say — well, to give your website a unique feature, something to make you stand out from the crowd. With people online for hours at a time on a daily basis, they will see hundreds of different websites where sna...

Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders with Cajun Spices Recipe

Posted by Luke Wilson on 14th June 2013 in Chicken | chicken, food, cooking
...In a previous post I stated that, “I freaking love chicken tenders.” I maintain the truth of that statement. This is one of my favorite dishes that my mother makes. She just made this recipe up and it’s not related to any specific culture or anything like that. What kills me is that no matter how many times I tried to recreate this recipe, I always fell short. I couldn’t figure it out. Why were my copycat attempts never quite as good as her original recipe? I tried every technique I saw on food television and read online, but still nothing. Finally, I know the secret and it’s far simpler than I would have imagined. As it...

The Heartbleed Bug

Posted by Luke Wilson on 15th April 2014 in Business News |
.... Many of online services use TLS to both to identify themselves to you and to protect your privacy and transactions. You might have networked appliances with logins secured by this buggy implementation of the TLS. Furthermore you might have client side software on your computer that could expose the data from your computer if you connect to compromised services. How widespread is this? Most notable software using OpenSSL are the open source web servers like Apache and nginx. The combined market share of just those two out of the active sites on the Internet was over 66% according to Netcraft's April 2014 Web Server Survey. Furthermore OpenSSL is used to prot...
